Khloe Kardashian dished recently on her brother Rob Kardashian. She jokingly refers to Rob as her son, and says she’s glad to be there helping him through some recent tough times.

In a recent interview for Complex magazine, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star even shares why Rob Kardashian lives with her instead of by himself.

“Rob lives with me now, and I wouldn’t have it any other way,” Khloe Kardashian says in the interview. “I love having him with me. I have a big ass house and I wanted it so he could feel like, comfortable.”

“He’s going through a hard time now,” she confirmed to Complex. “And [my home is] behind gates. With this crazy lifestyle you have to think of places where you can still have your freedom. Kourtney and Scott live in the same gated area. My nieces and nephew come over at least three times a week. I have everything, my brother’s there and I love him.”

This interview was no doubt recorded long before Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick split up, as Khloe has been spotted numerous times in recent weeks helping Kourtney with children Reign, Penelope, and Mason Disick in light of the split.

Khloe Kardashian teases that she is keeping Rob Kardashian as her hostage.

“I get crazy if he’s like, ‘I’m moving out,'” she shared. “Listen, he’s a man and 28, and I’m sure it doesn’t sound good to say, ‘Oh I live with my sister,’ but it’s not because he has to. I’m like, ‘Put this into perspective: Your friends live at home with their parents because they can’t do anything else. Your sister’s literally holding you captive and actively making you. So if that makes you feel better, say that all you want.’ I don’t want to put words in his mouth, but I’m sure that’s why he would threaten to move out.”

She says she isn’t an overbearing older sister, however.

“I’m good with him. I never bother him,” she said. “I just bought him a rug for his bedroom and he was so cute. He’ll text me and tell me how much he likes it and he notices things. So, I like it. I call him my son as a joke. I’ll call my assistant and be like, ‘Did you guys ask if he wanted lunch?’ or this or that and my sisters hate that I do that. I do baby him but I’m a maternal person.”

Do you think Khloe Kardashian is enabling Rob or is she helping him gain the strength he will need to once again live solo?

Khloe believes she is simply doing for Rob what he once did for her, following her split from Lamar Odom.

“He lived with me through my whole marriage but moved out towards the end and got an apartment,” she said of Rob Kardashian. “I ended up moving in with him. He had a three-bedroom townhouse…. I honestly had no idea how long I was going to be there. It was fun at first, and then I think it was overwhelming for both of us. We were going from this huge house to his townhouse, so I can’t just like put all my s— everywhere, but he was so great about it. Obviously he would get annoyed from time to time or when he wanted girls over. I totally get it.”

Khloe Kardashian is a much different person these days. She has a newfound confidence in herself that is reflected in her new svelte body.

“I have gained so much personal strength, but also personal awareness and it feels good when you can be really content on your own, but genuinely. I have girlfriends that can’t be alone and I find that so unattractive. You can’t give yourself to anybody else and if you can’t stand to be alone with you, why would somebody else want to be alone with you? I am fine sleeping alone. I am not a girl that’s like, ‘F— love.’ I’m all for the love story. I think everyone being in love is gorgeous and everyone should have it. But I’m also a girl that could be alone and be fine. Do we wish we had a partner to do certain things with? Of course. I’m not just going to be with someone just because I need someone to sleep next to me at night. I don’t need that. I’m getting up at 4:45 a.m. to go to the gym. I don’t have to wake anyone up.”

Hopefully Rob Kardashian will one day soon move out of Khloe Kardashian’s house and gain the kind of confidence his sister has. Perhaps Khloe is working to instill that into Rob by example.

Of course living with the money any of the Keeping Up With the Kardashians stars has access to makes almost any situation more bearable.
