Kelly Ripa appeared grief stricken on Live! With Kelly and Michael on Tuesday.
“He was such a great man… he was just a great person, a great friend, he will be missed–I cannot tell you how much I will miss him. I will miss him every day of my life,” she said while on the air.
Cosmetic surgeon Dr Fredric Brandt was found dead by suicide inside his Miami mansion on Sunday. Kelly Ripa had long been among his celebrity clients–and dear friends.
“If you love someone tell them every day that you love them because you don’t know if you will have that opportunity….It’s sad. Oh my gosh, he was just the best. He would sing to you while he put Botox in your face–any song you wanted. He could sing anything at a moment’s notice,” she said.
On Monday, Kelly Ripa tweeted her heartache upon learning that Dr. Brandt had died over the weekend.
My heart is breaking for the loss of Dr. Fredric Brandt. My friend. You will be missed forever and in my heart even longer.

Kelly’s husband, Mark Consuelos, retweeted sentiments about the plastic surgeon’s passing.
Devastated over the loss of our dear friend @drfredricbrandt
You are missed. You are loved. The world has lost one of its kindest souls

In addition to Kelly Ripa, some of Dr. Frederic Brandt’s other celebrity clients included Madonna and Joy Behar. There were, of course, numerous others.
Suicide is probably the hardest type of death for survivors to accept. Dr. Brandt’s family members and his beloved clients–like Kelly Ripa–will no doubt always wonder what they might have said or done that could have prevented the doctor from taking his life.
