Kelly Clarkson has been pairing up with Microsoft to promote their store openings recently, offering to perform free concerts to bring customers in.
Clarkson performed in Troy, Michigan on Friday night, but only got five songs in before she was pulled offstage due to safety concerns about the weather after a downpour accompanied by high winds. The singer tried to stick it out despite the rain even after a gust of wind blew her skirt up.
“I’ll stand out here in the rain with you! Well, at least we’re not sweating,” she said.
Even though there was nothing she could do about the weather, Clarkson showed off her inherent Southern charm by apologizing to fans via Twitter.
Sorry Detroit about the rain! Wow, it was coming down hard at the end! Thanks 4 hanging in as long as we all could! pic.twitter.com/n5hs1fa3WI

No makeup show has been scheduled yet, but she later performed in Indianapolis at another store opening on Saturday night. 100 lucky fans received a ticket to the show and a pass for a meet-and-greet afterward when they were the first into the Microsoft store at the Fashion Mall at Keystone.
