Kellen Winslow, who was released from the Seahawks last week, didn’t fail the physical given by the Patriots, although they didn’t end up signing him. The news that he was passed over for failing due to bum knees was reported by a couple of different news sources, but they are untrue, according to ESPN.
One of the first reports came from Mary Paoletti, who tweeted the news to her 6,600 followers on Wednesday. Since then, rumors have been spreading like wildfire about Winslow, as well as about Michael Hoomanawanui, who was signed with the Patriots.

The latest reports are that despite a pass on the physical, Winslow’s knees do concern the Pats; he’s had several surgeries since a 2005 motorcycle accident.
Hoomanawanui, who was released by the Rams on Sunday, is now getting some attention after being picked up ahead of Winslow. His record includes 20 catches in two seasons with St. Louis.
