Katie Holmes was on set filming her new directorial debut, All We Had, when her tiny denim dress turned on her.

In New York, Katie Holmes had several photos taken of her trying to get her trashy getup to cooperate.

In one shot, Katie Holmes ultimately loses the battle of the hemline, flashing some booty cheek.

Katie Holmes announced last year that she had optioned Annie Weatherwax’s book of the same title to make her first attempt at directing.

Katie Holmes stars in the film as the mother in a turbulent mother/daughter duo.

A poverty-stricken mother and her 13-year-old daughter move to a quirky small town to start life anew in All We Had.

The Fault in Our Stars director, Josh Boone, wrote the adaptation of the novel. Jane Rosenthal, who was involved in About A Boy, is producing All We Had.

Thank you @jimmyfallon for such a fun time:):):)

Rosenthal said early on of Katie Holmes’ aspirations for All We Had, “Katie has such a clear vision for the book’s irreverent, original mother-daughter relationship. Her passion for the material, along with Josh Boone’s ability to tell stories grounded in the comedy and drama of everyday, will truly bring these characters to life.”

Well, Katie Holmes certainly seems super-committed to her role. I mean, that dress. Wow.

What do you think of poor Katie Holmes’ wardrobe malfunction? Are you excited to see how she will do as a director?
