Kate Hudson reportedly called off her engagement with Muse frontman Matt Bellamy, the father of her son Bing. Now rumors are running rampant, claiming she is dating Derek Hough.

Us Weekly reports that the Dancing With the Stars pro was spotted eating dinner and enjoying drinks with Kate Hudson just this past weekend at the Nice Guy Restaurant in Los Angeles. A source told them the two stayed way past closing time.

Of course it’s possible that the two are simply good friends. After all, they’ve known each other for about three years. Derek Hough even gave Kate Hudson dancing lessons a while back.

“My heart is really in contemporary jazz, but lately I’ve been ballroom dancing with Derek Hough,” she said during an interview back in 2013.

It was last month when the two attended Goldie Hawn’s “Love In For Kids” benefit together, where they were photographed while deeply engaged in conversation. They two also posed for pictures together, with Kate Hudson showing off her sexy arms in a sleeveless white dress and Derek Hough looking very handsome in a dark suit.

Kate Hudson isn’t the only person that Derek Hough is rumored to have dated, however. He has been said to have dated Nina Dobrev, Nikki Reed, and Lauren Conrad in the past.

News of Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy’s split hit the media on Monday. His rep confirmed that the two have been separated “for some time now,” after spending more than four years together. The two became engaged back in April 2011, just three months before Kate gave birth to their son.

“They remain very close friends and committed co-parents,” Bellamy’s rep said during an interview with ET.
