Kate Hudson ended a three year engagement, and then reportedly moved on with Derek Hough.
Recently, Hudson split with Muse’s lead singer Matt Bellamy. The couple began dating in spring 2010; they were engaged in April 2011. Their son, Bingham Hawn Bellamy, was born in July of that year.
In the October issue of Women’s Health magazine, Hudson spoke about her long engagement to Bellamy:
Were working, it’s a long engagement. I think the best part is that knowing you’re working towards the idea of a commitment that is hopefully as long of a stretch as you can pull it – and forever seems beautiful. My parents aren’t married. And one of the reasons why they never got married is because they had been married before and they liked it the way it was. They didn’t feel like they needed a piece of paper to be committed. So for me, I know that marriage is not a golden ticket.

X17 first broke the news on Bellamy and Hudson’s split. A source for the site claimed that “Kate doesn’t ever want to get divorced again, and she wasn’t sure marriage with Matt was the right choice. There is still a lot of love there, and they plan to amicably co-parent their son.”

Hudson was previously married to Chris Robinson, but they split in November 2006. They share a 10-year old son named Ryder.
People also revealed that Hudson and Bellamy’s separation has been for “some time,” and that “despite this, they remain very close friends and committed co-parents.” According to US Weekly, Hudson now has a new man in her life: Dancing with the Stars‘ pro dancer Hough.
A source for US reported seeing Hudson and Hough having a romantic dinner together over the weekend in L.A. She talked about her friendship with Hough in an 2013 issue of Shape magazine. “My heart is really in contemporary jazz, but lately I’ve been ballroom dancing with Derek Hough. It’s been a real blast.”
