Kat Dahlia, a young Florida rapper known for her unique, agressive style, was arrested in Miami Beach on charges of DUI and resisting arrest.

The musician–whose real name is Katriana Huguet–was taken into custody just a day after her 23rd birthday after an officer noticed her speeding without headlights and pulled her over. She was allegedly slurring her words and talked back to the cop, who charged her with resisting arrest without violence. She’s being held on $2,000 bail.

Dahlia, who is of Cuban descent, began rapping at eight and writing her own songs at 15, when she reportedly took music from YouTube until she could form a band of her own. Her first album, “Gangsta”, was released just this year on Vested In Culture Records, a joint venture with Epic.
