Karlie Kloss will be retiring her angel wings at the end of her contract.
She will reportedly be trading the wings for a pile of books.
Karlie Kloss told Vogue that she was recently accepted to NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study. The acceptance is, in part, thanks to NYU alum Christy Turlington, who wrote a letter of recommedation for Karlie Kloss.
Kloss said, “I was waiting for the mail to arrive every single day.”
She added, “It’s something that I’ve wanted to do for a very long time.”
Karlie Kloss doesn’t even know what she’ll study, but for now, she’s thrilled to be taking classes at NYU.
However, Kalie Kloss‘ studies will not hamper her modelling career.
She said, “I’ll still be working full-time. I’m incredibly ambitious and have lots of goals within my career that I’m not slowing down on anytime soon.”
Along with her new role as college student, Karlie Kloss will be walking the runway and representing brands like Kate Spade New York and L’Oréal Paris.
But, she will undoubtedly look back on her Victoria’s Secret days with fondness. And they will look back on her time with them as something incredibly special.
Ed Razek of Victoria’s Secret said of Karlie Kloss’ time there, “Karlie and I met several months ago to discuss the many things she hoped to do in her life and career. As we talked, it became clear she would not have the time to fulfill her myriad commitments.”
He added, “Reluctantly, we agreed she would leave the brand at the end of her contract. Karlie is one of a kind, a very close friend, someone I truly admire and love. She is, without question, one of the best models ever. But she is an even better person. Her future is unlimited, and I am excited to see all the good she will do. Karlie Kloss will always be an Angel to me.”
Those are some sweet words about a model who has the reputation of being a really nice girl and amazing to work with.
