Kaley Cuoco was one of many celebrities and fans who were talking about James Garner over the weekend after news broke that he’d passed away of natural causes. The Big Bang Theory actress took to Twitter and other social media outlets to remember the iconic actor, who played her grandfather on the hit sitcom 8 Simple Rules.

Garner was known around Hollywood as a lovable man and true professional who made other actors feel at ease. His resume was an impressive list of television and film credits, beginning in the ’50s and through the ’70s, when The Rockford Files became a hit. His last credit was in 2010.

Cuoco left some kind words on her Twitter page for Garner, saying she would miss his hugs.

Cuoco and her co-stars have been in headlines recently due to contract negotiations with CBS; nothing has been finalized, but Cuoco, Johnny Galecki, and Jim Parsons are all reportedly demanding $1 million per episode. Production for the new season hasn’t begun yet because of it.
