JWoww and Snooki won’t be kept out of Berkeley Township, New Jersey this year, according to a judge, even though residents don’t want the “Jersey Shore” stars in their neighborhood.

The reality stars scouted the location to film their spinoff show, “Snooki And JWoww”, but residents said that filming a show there might interfere with cleanup efforts after Hurricane Sandy and asked a judge to rule on the matter. Now, it looks like they have permission to film, although attorney Ron Gasiorowski says the judge hasn’t ruled yet on whether the production will violate a zoning ordinance. In that case, producers will be required to obtain a permit.

“This is in a residential zone and use of it is very restrictive,” Gasirowski said.“They didn’t disclose to anyone what they were doing there. People first became aware of this when they started to see trucks and equipment being delivered to the site.”

Snooki took personal offense to the town’s rejection of the show, posting on Twitter that they should “grow up” and said she didn’t understand why anyone would want to keep her from visiting with her family. However, City Council president James Byrnes said that they weren’t opposed to the star visiting; they just felt that the show was a bit much.

“For her to bring her family and stay there is a great thing,” he said. “But the timing’s not right, and the commotion of just the show, what the show causes, is outrageous.”
