Justin Bieber has just booked a $250,000 flight to space aboard Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic SpaceShipTwo, and he says he wants to take it a step further.
Of course, it’s not going to happen anytime soon, and the flight isn’t even scheduled yet, as the plane is still in testing mode. However, flights are expected to launch at the end of this year. Over 600 people have put down a deposit for a seat into suborbital space, where they’ll experience weightlessness and will be treated to a view only astronauts have seen thus far.
Sir Richard Branson tweeted a shoutout to Bieber this week about the booking:
Great to hear @justinbieber & @scooterbraun are latest @virgingalactic future astronauts. Congrats, see you up there!

To which Bieber responded:
“@richardbranson @scooterbraun @virgingalactic let’s shoot a music video in SPACE!! #nextLEVEL”.
Bieber joins celebrities Ashton Kutcher, Angelina Jolie and Tom Cruise in his quest for space travel.
