Justin Bieber busted his eardrum on Wednesday while cliff diving.

Now the singer may need surgery and fans are worried to death, but if doctors determine that he does need surgery, it shouldn’t be a big deal.

Dr. Barry M. Rose M.D., the Anesthesiologist at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, California said to HollywoodLife.com,

“More than likely, Justin ruptured the tympanic membrane, or eardrum, on impact or while descending into the water. The surgery for that condition, if it is what he has, is a tympanoplasty, where a piece of tissue is used to simply seal the hole in the tympanic membrane.”

He added, “As surgeries go, it is ‘superficial’ in nature, but as we have seen recently [like with the death of Joan Rivers], no procedure can be taken lightly. Having said that, this is outpatient surgery that 99.9+% of the time goes easily and smoothly, and has no long term effects except sealing the hole in the eardrum.”

Great! Now Justin Bieber can get back to making music. Yay.

It’s surprising that he has had time to do anything with all of the shenanigans he has been up to this year.

He was arrested in January and charged with drunk driving and street racing in Miami. He then pleaded guilty to lesser charges of careless driving and resisting arrest in August, avoiding jail time.

Just before that court appearance, Justin Bieber pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor vandalism charge stemming from the egging of a neighbor’s house. He was handed two years of probation and a hefty, well hefty for most of us, $81,000 fine.

These are in addition to seemingly constant run-ins with neighbors, run-ins with the law, and incidents with people punching him (or wanting to punch him) in the face.
