Julianne Hough served as a judge on the last season of Dancing With the Stars. She, along with Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba watched Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough dance their way to a mirror ball trophy. Hough isn’t returning to the next season of DWTS, however. Len Goodman is coming back, and he will take her place.

“I will miss being on the panel for Season 22, but have a lot of exciting stuff coming that I look forward to sharing,” Julianne Hough says in an interview with People magazine. “The pro dancers, producers and crew at DWTS will always be my family.”
Dancing With the Stars producer Rob Wade also spoke with People about Julianne Hough’s departure.
“Julianne will always be a part of the Dancing with the Stars family and we hope to see her back in the ballroom in the future,” he said.
Hough agrees it’s not “goodbye,” but “until we meet again,” instead.
