Julianne Hough is engaged and she and her fiancé Brooks Laich of Washington Capitals hockey team were happy to share their happiness on Instagram, Tuesday, August 18.

In a photo they shared, Hough shows off the engagement ring on her left hand that Laich gave her. According to Us Weekly, the ring is a “custom Lorraine Schwartz-designed oval-cut diamond ring” and it is more than six carats.

The source went on to tell the story behind the gorgeous ring. Laich put a lot of effort into finding the perfect stone for his soon-to-be wife. He took into consideration Hough’s personality and style in choosing the ideal engagement ring.
Hough, in an interview with Redbook, revealed the secret of their happy relationship: “We’ve been open and honest from day one.”
The two are also big believers of PDA. The Dancing With the Stars celeb posted another sweet photo of her and fiancé kissing via Instagram . The photo was captioned: “What a week it’s been! I’m just so happy and feeling so loved from all of you, and wanted to give you a quick update on everything.”

Hough is planning to take a break from social media so she can spend more quality time with her fiancé. She said she is very much excited about the preparations for her wedding. She promised her followers to return soon to social media with more photos to share.
Now, many are asking if Hough will move to Arlington after the engagement since Laich practices there at the Kettler Capitals Iceplex. He also has a home in Arlington according to Washington Post. Still, there are is no confirmation if that will happen soon.
The couple has been dating since February of 2014 after Curve actor, Teddy Sears, introduced them.
