With the NFL draft looming ahead, and mock drafts constantly being made, every move a draft pick makes is being watched. The guy most people are watching is Johnny Football himself, Johnny Manziel.

Manziel made a visit to Foxboro on Wednesday. The former Texas A&M quarterback was in town to visit with the New England Patriots.

While the Patriots won’t be making their first pick until No. 29, there is a possibility they might trade up to get Manziel. But that’s an unlikely possibility since the Patriots already have backup Ryan Mallett, who’s in the last year of his deal.

And would Maziel really want to go to a team where it could be years before he sees significant playing time? Because God only knows when Tom Brady will hang up his helmet and call it a day. (His contract is up in 2017, but he may feel like sticking around longer or leaving before he jumps the shark.)

If the Patriots were to draft Manziel, he would complement Brady’s game with his speed.

Brady is no stranger to Manziel. The two spent some time texting earlier this year about football and life as a football star.

One fan thinks Manziel would find the ultimate friend if he became a Patriot.

Manziel wasn’t the only quarterback to visit the Patriots on Wednesday. Former Louisville Cardinal Teddy Bridgewater also met with the Patriots.

The Patriots have been looking into quarterbacks lately. They also visited with Central Florida’s Blake Bortles in Orlando last week while checking out other prospective players at UCF.
