Last month, antivirus creator John McAfee went on the lam as Belize police sought him for questioning in relation to the murder of his neighbor Gregory Faull, who was found shot to death. McAfee’s story is that he is innocent of the crime, but believes if detained in Belize, he may be tortured or killed. He made his way to Guatemala where he was ultimately detained, but has now been expelled to the United States, which is just fine with him.

Here’s an interview he did with Bloomberg before his flight:
After that, he posted to his blog from the plane, saying, that he had been “forcibly” separated from Sam, his girlfriend, who is with his friend Amy. He closed that post by saying, “Both are coming as per sam’s request. Amy fears for her life in Belize. More in Miami. Taking off.”

The AP reports that McAfee is “holed up in a Miami hotel,” and that authorities from U.S. Customs and Border Protection are not commenting on whether he would be questioned or detained in the U.S. He has reportedly not been charged with any crime in the U.S. so far.
