Joey and Rory Feek spend much of their days hoping she lives to see the next. Joey Feek’s will is definitely stronger than her body, as it wastes away from cancer. That strong will can’t be ignored, however, as the female half of the country/bluegrass duo Joey + Rory continues to outlive most everyone’s expectations.
It was last week that Joey and Rory Feek learned some very exciting news. Their song, “If I Needed You,” received a Grammy nomination. Now Joey Feek has set a new goal for herself. She is determined to see the Grammy Awards.

This Grammy nomination comes on the heels of Joey and Rory Feek’s announcement that, despite her illness, they are moving ahead to release their new album on Valentine’s Day. Uncertain when they made the announcement if Joey would be around to celebrate its release, this is something the duo insisted upon doing.

The Grammy Awards are the day after Valentine’s Day. What a gift it would be for Joey and Rory if she lives for both of these exciting days.
Joey Feek was diagnosed with cervical cancer back in 2014. It was only weeks ago that doctors gave her the grave news that the chemotherapy treatments she underwent didn’t work.
Joey and Rory have maintained an incredibly positive outlook on her health situation. They have relied strongly on their Christian faith to see them through.
There are likely lots of prayers being said on Joey and Rory Feek’s behalf. Surely many of them involve Joey Feek reaching her new goal.
