Jillian Michaels, best known for being the tough-as-nails trainer on “The Biggest Loser”, is coming back to the show after a two-season hiatus. This time around, she’ll be working with overweight kids.
Michaels has been absent while starting a family with her partner, Heidi Rhoades, who gave birth to their son Phoenix in May; the couple got a huge surprise when their adoption request was granted and they were given a baby girl from Haiti.
“As a former overweight teen, I know firsthand how dramatically weight issues can affect every aspect of a child’s life,” said Michaels. “Having recently become a mother of two, I am more passionate than ever about helping empower children and families with the information and resources they need to live a healthier life,” adds Michaels.
The no-nonsense trainer will be working with teens aged 13-17; the season starts in January. Unlike previous seasons, the teen contestants won’t be subject to elimination. They will all stay at the ranch to work towards their goal during the show’s run.
