Jennifer Lawrence won a Golden Globe on Sunday–the first of the evening, in fact. She was awarded the Golden Globe for best supporting actress for her role in American Hustle. Known as a precursor to the Oscars, might this mean Lawrence will take home yet another Academy Award next month? Her first–for Best Actress–was for her role in The Silver Linings Playbook, during which she starred opposite Bradley Cooper, who also stars in American Hustle.
Jennifer Lawrence wowed the crowds ahead of Sunday night’s festivities as she walked the red carpet. The 23-year-old was stunning in a white and black Dior Haute Couture dress. It’s not surprising to learn Lawrence wore Dior. She was, after all, named the face of the label back in October of 2012.
Jen’s bracelet fell off during her interview with Ryan Seacrest prior to the show, but she didn’t trip and fall en route to the stage to accept her award, the way she did after winning her Oscar for The Silver Linings Playbook.
Congratulations are certainly in order for Jennifer Lawrence on winning her Golden Globe award. She was up against some pretty stiff competition in the best supporting actress category. Julia Roberts (August: Osage County), Sally Hawkins (Blue Jasmine), Lupita N’yongo (12 Years A Slave) and June Squibb (Nebraska) were all nominated, along with Lawrence, for the award.
