  • Jennifer Lawrence posed nude for the March issue of Vanity Fair, with nothing but a boa constrictor covering her most private parts. She did accessorize her look for the photo shoot with a fabulous spray tan and a diamond bracelet.

“Lawrence only became uncomfortable when the snake took a fancy to her neck,” Vanity Fair‘s West Coast editor Krista Smith said. “Then the shoot was over and Mr. Boa went back into his box.”

‘Mr. Boa’ was a Colombian, red-tailed boa constrictor–and he was rather large by most people’s snake standards. Jennifer Lawrence has always seemed like the kind of woman who wouldn’t let a little thing like a giant snake scare her away, however. Fashion and Style director for Vanity Fair, Jessica Diehl, agrees.

“Jennifer has the perfect combination of strength, sexuality, and humor, and, above all, tomboy to pull this off,” she said.

Vanity Fair has shared the photo of Jennifer Lawrence and the boa constrictor via their Instagram account.

The magazine captioned the post, “Girl Meets Boa: #JenniferLawrence, photographed by Patrick Demarchelier for Vanity Fair. Pick up the March 2015 issue for the full Spotlight.”

The photo shoot is actually a remake that was done to pay tribute to late fashion photographer Richard Avedon’s 1981 Vogue portrait of model/actress Nastassja Kinski. At least, and unlike Kinski, the Hunger Games actress didn’t kiss her snake.

What’s your take on Jennifer Lawrence posing nude with a boa constrictor. Some people have strong aversions to animals such as this one being used for commercial purposes.
