Jennifer Lawrence was back in her hometown near Louisville, Kentucky over the Christmas holidays, and she cheered on the Louisville Cardinals while she was there. The Hunger Games star wore a Louisville t-shirt and even got into a team cheer while seated in the stands–and was spotted making a letter ‘L’ to display her devotion to her team.
This isn’t the first time Lawrence has supported her local team either. When the Cardinals played in the NCAA tournament earlier in the year she was there to cheer them on. She event lent her voice to the university by creating a video that sings its praises.
“I grew up in the Derby City, home to a proud and storied university, filled with rich athletic tradition and packed with fans who are as loyal and passionate as any in college sports,” she said in the video. “The ‘L’ is the sign that connects all of us to one strong and united Card Nation.”
In addition, she sent a photo of herself proudly wearing the school colors to let students and the basketball players know she may live in Hollywood now, but her heart is never far from home.

Jennifer Lawrence also spent time visiting sick kids at a local children’s hospital while home in Kentucky. She also managed to get in lots of great visits with her family members and closest friends.
Don’t you love when an Academy Award winner like Jennifer Lawrence remembers where she came from? It shows that all the money she makes and the Hollywood limelight hasn’t taken away from the person she once was. All too often celebrities make their mark on Hollywood and forget they were once like everyone else–part of a community that’s a long way from L.A.
