Jennifer Garner may be a stunning, impressive actress, but she admits that fashion just isn’t her niche.

According to Cover Media, the actress recently sat down for an interview with Glamour Magazine where she shared her perspective on fashion. The Alias star expressed that she definitely feels pressure where her appearance is concerned since it is a high priority to look above par in the competitive entertainment industry. Garner also shared her ground-breaking fashion realization during the discussion.

“I used to totally wing fashion,” she told the British publication. “Until I realized what worked for me: neutrals and a cut that isn’t too tight or too loose. Some people are born with an innate fashion sense; some people know a lot about fashion. I had neither,” she quipped.

The Golden Globe winner also gushed about her latest feat as the new face of Max Mara accessories. When asked of her sentiments of the esteemed honor, she gave a relatively humble response. While Garner’s no stranger to cameras, she admitted that she still hasn’t grown accustomed to seeing her face on the luxury Italian fashion house’s advertising campaigns.

“Seeing myself on a billboard? Weird! My friends sent me pictures of the high billboard in Venice’s Piazza San Marco that features my campaign as the face of Max Mara accessories. It’s very exciting, but very, very surreal,” she said.

Garner was also in attendance last night for the 2014 Oscars. Her 2013 film Dallas Buyers Club, which she starred in alongside Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto, has garnered numerous accolades including three Academy Awards for Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Makeup and Hairstyling.

The 41-year-old actress, who wore a jaw-dropping, silver beaded Oscar de la Renta gown, revealed that no matter how many times you walk the red carpet, its always “scary!”

“The red carpet can be scary. You have days when the last thing you want to do it walk up one; if you’ve had a bad day or a baby or put on a few pounds,” she told the publication. “I’m not a stick, I’m not someone who starves myself. I just go forward and do the best I can.”
