Jennie Garth has just finalized her divorce from “Twilight” star Peter Facinelli, but according to reports, they still share a joint bank account.
The couple announced last year that they were separating and filed for divorce just a couple of weeks later, citing “irreconcilable differences”. The statement they issued, however, said they are going to share custody and financial responsibility for their daughters, Luca Bella, 15, Lola Ray, 10, and Fiona Eve, 6.
“While we have decided to end our marriage, we both share the same deep love and devotion to our children,” Facinelli and Garth said in a joint statement at the time. “We remain dedicated to raising our beautiful daughters together.”
Instead of spousal support–which both declined–the former couple have kept a joint bank account for their girls, which they will both deposit into and maintain in an effort to keep things going as smoothly as possible.
After the split, Garth appeared in public looking thin and unwell, and when she spoke to Jay Leno she said it had been extremely hard to end things.
“It’s unfortunate,” she said. “It happens to the best of us. It’s something that has been really tough, for sure. My husband and I, we grew up together, so we are very important people to each other.”
She later talked about her reluctance to get back into the dating world, saying, “I always said I would rather lick a dirty floor than go back to dating. Dating is very new for me. I have training wheels on right now, because I was married for so long. That’s my whole adult life, basically. I think I’m actually going back into adult adolescence. I’m having a moment.”
Garth did eventually find someone she clicked with: celebrity photographer Noah Abrams. The relationship didn’t last long, however, and she moved on to Big Gigantic drummer Jeremy Salken. As for Facinelli, he’s dating Jaimie Alexander and has two projects due out this year: “Freezer” and “Gallows Hill”.
