Actress Jenna von Oy of Blossom fame welcomed her second daughter with hubby Brad Bratcher to the world on Saturday. Marlowe Monroe Bratcher was born at 12:35 P.M. in Nashville. She weighed in at seven pounds, four ounces and measured 18.25 inches long.

“We are so blessed to welcome another healthy, beautiful, profoundly enchanting baby girl into our family!” the happy parents told People magazine. “Little Miss Marlowe is already very loved and adored, and we are savoring this special bonding time we have with her.”

Big sister Gray, who is two, helped Jenna von Oy and Brad Bratcher pick out the new baby’s name.

“We began mulling over names at the beginning of my pregnancy, and came up with a few we were fond of,” von Oy, 37, says. “When we mentioned them aloud in front of Gray, Marlowe was the name that resonated most with her. She started referring to her future baby sister by name from that point on, and it stuck!”

“Gray was wonderfully sweet and affectionate when she met Marlowe for the first time, immediately asking to sit and hold her,” von Oy adds. “She gently caressed Marlowe’s cheek, smiled down at her and carefully gave her a kiss. It was an incredibly moving moment to witness.”

Jenna von Oy has written a blog for People.com for a while now. Following a hiatus she returned to her job in June with an announcement for her readers.

“Our hearts are overflowing with love, and Gray is simply over the moon about becoming a big sister!” the mom-to-b wrote at the time.

“I’ll be taking a brief hiatus from my People.com blogs for a bit, as my family and I spend some much-needed time with our new arrival,” she says. “Not to worry, however, I’m in the process of writing my book, Situation Momedy, which will be released in 2015 through Medallion Press, so this isn’t the last you’ve heard of me!”

Jenna von Oy did continue writing about her mommy adventures via Cradle Chronicles.

“In the meantime, please continue following my adventures on cradlechronicles.com. I thoroughly enjoy hearing from all of you!” she told her fans.

Now that von Oy and Bratcher are the parents of two, it will be interesting to see how long it takes them to adapt to being a family of four. A two-year-old and a newborn can make for a very busy household. How long do you suppose it might be before the former Blossom star starts writing again?
