Jane Fonda denies claims that her partner, Richard Perry, passed out at last night’s Golden Globes Awards, despite reports.
The Beverly Hills Police Department did confirm that paramedics were called to the awards’ show. However, the call was apparently canceled before the first responders arrived on the scene.
Initial reports claimed that it was the 77-year-old actress’ boyfriend who needed the aid of paramedics. However, a rep for Fonda said it was someone sitting at a table near the couple.
According to reports, the heat in the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where the 72nd Golden Glove Awards were held, was unbearable, which was likely a factor in the mystery person’s illness.

Theo Kingma, president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which presents the ceremony, said the man had been sitting under bright lights, making him hot.

According to Vanity Fair , the air conditioning at the hotel wasn’t on or wasn’t working, sending temperatures in the hall soaring. Matthew McConaughey reportedly chose to remove his jacket as he watched proceedings and female stars were seen fanning themselves as their makeup melted in the heat.
