James Durbin has welcomed his second child, a baby girl.

The former American Idol contestant and his wife Heidi Durbin welcomed their daughter Kinzee Cruz Durbin at 6:14 p.m. on Friday, November 21. Their new bundle of joy weighed in at 8 lbs., 11 oz., and measured 21¾ inches long.

“Nothing compares to holding your brand new baby. She’s gonna be worth every sleepless night,” the couple told People magazine. “We’re so thankful to have her.”

The couple, who already have a five-year-old son named Hunter, announced that they were expecting their second child in April.

“We’re looking forward to even more laughter in the house and those silly baby expressions,” Durbin said at the time, adding that Hunter was hoping for a baby brother.

“He’s very excited. He wants a little brother to play Legos with,” Durbin added. “Since we spaced them apart from each other, Hunter will probably be a big help.”

Durbin released his new album Celebrate earlier this year, and said he had over 60 tracks that he worked on with several different writers and producers.

“We’d sit down for an hour or so and just get to know each other and talk about our interests and what we like to write about,” Durbin told CBS News after the release of the album. “We’ll just try to dig each other up a little bit and find things that have happened in our past and stuff that we’ve never written about. So it was really fun.”

Congratulations to the happy couple!
