Artist Calvin Nicholls is not just talented when it comes to slicing paper; he obviously has the patience of a thousand extremely patient people.

Nicholls’ work merges the animal world with tedious paper carving, creating beautiful 3-D sculptures which pop (literally) out of their frames. Each work takes anywhere between 4 weeks and two years–YEARS–to complete. Check out more of his work here.
