If you’re like most hardcore comic book nerds, then there’s a very strong possibility that you can’t wait to see “The Avengers” on the big screen. To make this joyous occasion that much sweeter, IMAX is giving you incentive to schedule your entire life around their midnight screening of director Joss Whedon’s highly-anticipated superhero blockbuster. Individuals attending the 12:01 showing of the aforementioned big-budget Hollywood actioner will receive a super cool midnight poster featuring all of your favorite characters. Except for Nick Fury. That’s kind of lame.

All you need to do to acquire the poster is purchase tickets from a participating IMAX theater and, you know, show up. I’m assuming quantities will be limited, so don’t let the drooling four-eyed fanboy sitting next to you with his mother score five of them.

In case you’ve been living under a very large rock for the past year or so, here’s a synopsis to help bring you up to speed with what this particular endeavor is all about:

Nick Fury is director of S.H.I.E.L.D, an international peace keeping agency. The agency is a who’s who of Marvel Super Heroes, with Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. When global security is threatened by Loki and his cohorts, Nick Fury and his team will need all their powers to save the world from disaster.

“The Avengers”, which stars obert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan SkarsgĂ„rd, Cobie Smulders, Clark Gregg, and Samuel L. Jackson, opens in theaters across the nation on May 4th. A tasty little glimpse of the poster resides below.
