Rapper Ice Cube has sparked controversy after he reportedly dissed Paul Walker and Vin Diesel for winning the Best On-Screen Duo award, for their work in Fast and Furious 6, at the MTV Movie Awards.

Ice Cube and Kevin Hart, who co-starred in the film Ride Along, were nominated for the award, and feel they were robbed by the sympathy vote. “We was robbed,” Ice Cube told USA TODAY. “Shame on you MTV.”

“We had the best chemistry of everybody nominated, for us not to win was crazy,” Ice Cube continued. “We were the best onscreen duo, period. They should have gave it to him before he passed away.”

While he claims that he just wasn’t “into it”, Ice Cube was so upset that he actually left the awards ceremony early. “I just wasn’t into it,” he explained. “I have been going in and out of these things for 25 years. If you ain’t into it, why torture yourself? As soon as you get bored, get up and leave.”

After receiving thousands of comments about the remarks he made in regards to Walker, Ice Cube took to Twitter to try and explain himself. He posted a series of tweets to his fans saying that he was a fan of Walker’s too.

Re: Leaving early from the MTV Awards. They told me our catagorywasn't gonnabe televised. So I left. Just promoting that RIDE ALONG DVD.
