Human Barbie Described As A “Racist Space Alien”

By now you’ve probably heard stories about the Human Barbie. Or perhaps you’ve even seen a picture of Valeria Lukyanova and breezed right by because upon first glance you thought she was an actual Barbie doll, not a real 28-year-old woman.

In a revealing interview with GQ Magazine, the veneer gets stripped back, and despite Valeria’s best efforts to appear plastic, GQ Russian editor in chief Michael Idov gets the human doll to reveal a few personal opinions.

First, she isn’t from California, although she obviously looks like she could have come straight out of Malibu. She’s actually from Tiraspol, a very poor city in the independent country of Moldova, which is located in Eastern Europe south of Ukraine.

Valeria is obviously totally and completely obsessed with looking like a Barbie doll. However, the only surgery she claims to have had done is breast implants.

Valeria doesn’t want children of her own. In fact, she cringes at the mere thought of having a family. “It’s unacceptable to me. The very idea of children brings out this deep revulsion in me…I’d rather die from torture because the worst thing in the world is to have a family lifestyle.” She also added, “I’m against feminism…what would you keep the children for? So they can get you a glass of water when you’re on your deathbed?”

When Idov asks Valeria about how the ideal of beauty has changed over time, Valeria points the finger at mixed races. “For example, a Russian marries an Armenian. They have a kid, a cute girl, but she has her dad’s nose. She goes and files it down a little, and it’s all good. Ethnicities are mixing now, so there’s degeneration, and it didn’t used to be like that. Remember how many beautiful women there were in the 1950s and 1960s, without any surgery? And now, thanks to degeneration, we have this.”

At this point, Idov can’t believe that his expectations for the interview have been totally obliterated. “I realize that just like everyone reading about Human Barbie, I had had a simple narrative prepared in my head: A small-town girl grows up obsessed with dolls, etc. Instead, I get a racist space alien.”
