One of Howard Stern’s “Wack Pack” friends recently died after he was rushed to a Sacramento hospital on Saturday. Stern’s friend, Eric “The Actor” Lynch, had suffered from heart problems for months before he was sent to the hospital, and the radio personality reportedly experienced multiple organ failures that day, according to TMZ.

A source from the hospital confirmed to the site that Lynch passed away on Saturday afternoon. Lynch’s manager, Johnny Fratto, announced his charge’s death on Twitter, posting on Sunday, “I am so sorry and so sad to inform everyone that my friend Eric “The Actor” Lynch passed away yesterday afternoon!!!”

TMZ also reported that Fratto described Lynch at his deathbed as surrounded by the people closest to him, including his family, friends and his caretaker Jon. Lynch last appeared on Stern’s show just last week, when he called in to say that his parents would be taking over caretaking duties for him because Jon would be moving away. Lynch had been calling into Stern’s radio show since 2002 and was a member of the “Wack Pack,” a group of personalities who regularly guest on the show. Also known as “Eric The Midget,” Lynch is famous for yelling at the infamous shock jock whenever he called into the show. He supposedly had a love-hate relationship with Stern’s staff and never explained his medical condition on air except to mention that he had lived beyond doctors’ expectations, according to TMZ.

As an actor, Lynch also starred in shows such as Fringe and In Plain Sight. The radio personality was 39 years old when he passed away on Saturday.

Sirius XM, the satellite radio company that broadcasts Stern’s radio show, posted on their official Twitter account about Lynch’s death. “Rest in peace, Eric the Actor. We love you,” tweeted the account.
