Enormously popular talent show "America's Got Talent", hosted by Nick Cannon, is coming up on it's seventh season, and what better way to inject a little life into a show than to get Howard Stern to judge it?

That's exactly what producers have done. He'll join Sharon Osborne and Howie Mandel on the panel this year, bringing his own special brand of sarcastic wit along with what he hopes will be an honest reaction to the performers onstage. Osborne and Mandel say his energy is more than welcome on the show, as well as his edginess.

"I love the way he's opinionated," Osborne says.

Stern says he's got to be a strict judge in order to maintain the level of quality talent the show is used to, and he's willing to step up to the challenge.

America's biggest talent show returns on May 14th on NBC.
