Holly Holm has been painted as the classier and much humbler fighter since her shocking win over Ronda Rousey on Saturday.
After Holly Holm knocked the fan favorite out with an impressive kick to the face, social media blew up with insults for the boastful champion, Ronda Rousey, including digs from Lady Gaga and even Donald Trump.
Ronda Rousey naturally positioned herself as a cocky, overly confident opponent long before Saturday’s match with Holly Holm.
In all certainty, Ronda Rousey was asking for the virtual social media beating she got after this altercation with Holly Holm at weigh-in and later Instagram post.
Glad to see that @RondaRousey lost her championship fight last night. Was soundly beaten – not a nice person!

Be humble, glad #RondaRousey got put in her place

Despite all the trash talk about Ronda Rousey out there right now, Holly Holm is not among those hating on her.

In an interview with TMZ, Holly Holm insisted that people shouldn’t say mean things about Ronda Rousey.
She said, “I don’t want any of that to happen. I do feel like I come from maybe a little more humble spot, but that’s just because I don’t wanna ever say, ‘I’m this good’ or ‘I’m that’ and then have something happen and look like a fool.”
In fact, Holly Holm admits that she wouldn’t be where she is if it wasn’t for Rousey and her accomplishments in the sport.
Holm said, “Ronda’s been a very dominant champ, and she’s taken the sport to new levels. And this fight wouldn’t have happened if she hasn’t accomplished what she’s accomplished. So, I have a lot of respect for her.”
What do you think about Holly Holm’s response to those who are saying nasty things about Ronda Rousey?
