Starting with Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, Ubisoft introduced multiplayer into the franchise in an attempt to convince people to hold onto their copies of the game. As the franchise has evolved from then, so has its multiplayer. Now with Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Ubisoft is further refining the franchise’s mulitplayer.

In a new trailer released today, Ubisoft shows off some mulitplayer gameplay from its latest Assassin’s Creed title. Like in past games, players be tasked with stalking and taking down other players as they hide in plain sight among crowds of NPCs.

The latest trailer doesn’t show off any new modes, but it does show off some of the new environments players will be competing in. The jungle environments look to be the most impressive as far as scale is concerned, and the multitude of trees should give players plenty of places to hide in.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag launches on October 29 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U. The PS4 version will launch on November 15, and the Xbox One version launches on November 22. There’s still no set release date for the PC version, but it’s expected in November as well.
