Armored trucks, super cars and zombies would all seem out of place in New York City at any other time of the year, but it all made perfect sense last night as Microsoft launched the Xbox One. The company took over Times Square, specifically the Best Buy Theater, to sell the first Xbox One consoles in North America to eager fans that were waiting all day to get their hands on the latest Xbox.
Yesterday afternoon, we were treated to a quick video showing what Times Square was like during the day as Microsoft set everything up for the Xbox One launch. What we weren’t privy to was all the launch shenanigans that went down at midnight. That’s what Xbox’ Major Nelson is for though as he provides a recap of the Xbox One’s launch in New York City.
Unlike the PS4, the Xbox One launched in more than just North America though. The below video will also give you a look at the various Xbox One launch events that took place all over the world in Australia, New Zealand and Western Europe. From the looks of it, Microsoft had set up some great launch events for every part of the globe.
