Gwen Stefani, front woman for No Doubt and judge on The Voice, will share the custody of her three sons with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale. The children–Kingston, nine, Zuma, six, and Apollo, 19 months, may initially spend more time with their dad than with their mom, as Gwen Stefani has a busy tour schedule coming up.

Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale announced they were divorcing–ending 13 years of marriage–in August.

“While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment,” they said in a statement. “To that end, we respectfully request privacy from the media during this time.”

A source tells Us Weekly that the split had been in the works for quite some time before the August announcement.

“It only looks sudden, but everything was worked out months ago so paperwork could be filed and the marriage could be ended quickly and easily,” the source said. “Things were rocky before [the birth of Apollo], but they tried to make the marriage work. But it just couldn’t. A lot of the feeling was gone.”

It seems the split must be an amicable one, as Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale have been spotted a few times since August, enjoying leisurely time with their three boys.

Gwen Stefani has a new song out. Most believe “Used to Love You” is written about Gavin Rossdale.

As a coach on The Voice, Gwen Stefani has had to deal with recent rumors that she and newly-divorced coach Blake Shelton are an item. Both she and Shelton have refuted those claims.
