A teenage girl’s dream came true on Thursday 26 when she was surprisingly visited by supermodel, Gisele Bundchen.
Fifteen-year-old make-up artist and blogger, Karina Xavier, has been battling with bone cancer since 2011.
While under treatment, Xavier spent ample time reading beauty magazines and watching make-up video tutorials via YouTube. She even went around pampering hospitalized patients.
This ultimately inspired the freshly new make-up guru to start her very own website, Chic By Karina, where she provides DIY make-up and fashion tips.
In her heartfelt video biography, the courageous fashionista states how initially “I was pretty scared but God gave me strength to go through it.”
Despite Xavier’s on-going battle, letting go of her dream to one day become a make-up artist is out of the question.
The chance to play in a little make-up with Bundchen was definitely a shock for Xavier.
“From the moment you surprised me, until the moment you left, I was so shocked for you being here with me. You are a great person and you will continue inspiring me,” she said on an Instagram photo of the two.
Bundchen also returned the favor with words of encouragement.
“You are warrior, an inspiration of positivity and courage,” she said. “I will be praying for you. Sending you love and light always.”
