Gigi Hadid was compared with a Russian hooker in the wake of her Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show debut last weekend. Former Fashion Police host Robert Verdi was the one making the rude comparison. Verdi dissed Kendall Jenner, too.

Both Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner walked in their first Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show last weekend. Robert Verdi calls them “rich kids,” and says they’re all the rage.

“Rich kids are a trend right now for some reason, but Gigi and Kendall Jenner, they’re not supermodels,” Verdi says.

“There’s no comparison between Linda Evangelista and Gigi Hadid. There’s not!” he adds.

Verdi does admit, however, that both Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner are “pretty.”

“It’s undeniable that when Gigi walks into the room, even if she’s not famous, she’s head-turning,” he says. “But so is a Russian hooker.”

How incredibly insulting. Even if you aren’t a fan of reality TV and have never watched shows like Keeping Up With the Kardashians, you have to admit Kendall Jenner is a beautiful girl. So is Gigi Hadid. Just because they don’t look like supermodels of the 1970s and 1980s certainly doesn’t mean Gigi and Kendall are less cut out for their careers. Lots of things in the fashion industry have changed since then. Why wouldn’t the models have different features?

Robert Verdi is definitely allowed his opinion. As the former Fashion Police host, he no doubt thinks people revere it.
