I’m not familiar with who Glenn Beck is or what angles he takes, but apparently the re-released 3D version of Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace really pissed him off. In fact, it sounds like he really doesn’t like any of the Star Wars acting, production, or storyline.

Beck is calling for Lucas to “go away”. He claims that Harrison Ford was displaying “bad acting” in the first Star Wars film (Episode IV). Some weird unknown guy from Beck’s show is also pissed off that people keep referring to the first Star Wars as “episode IV”, this bothers him. While many will agree that Lucas has seen his best days decades ago, I believe few could argue that these gentlemen, Glenn Beck and weird unknown-guy, are irritating morons.

Despite themselves, I enjoy their rant and could even agree with some of it. Whatever Lucas was smoking in the 70’s and 80’s was far superior to what he’s on know. He should probably ask Beck for some of whatever he’s on. check out these candid comments from the rant, hopefully it will entice you to watch the video I have provided from his show:

“Here’s an idea, why don’t the people at your little ranch, why don’t they use all the CGI to make you go away — with all your influence. You’re wrecking good movies.”

“I don’t know how he does it. Is that the Industrial Light and Magic you’re always talking about, George? You can take somebody like Natalie Portman and all of a sudden she’s awful on screen? Awful!”

Also that Lucas took the gun out of the hand of Han Solo:

“and replaced it with flowers, I don’t know what,”

Then, about Jake Lloyd’s performance as Anakin Skywalker, Beck exclaims:

“He could have gotten any kid – any kid – Jesus. Jesus could have been teaching at the temple, on the stairs, and they could have said, ‘Hang on, we’ve been looking for you because George Lucas wants you to play Anakin Skywalker,’ and Jesus would have said yes to that. Who does he get? He gets the worst actor on the planet.”
