For gamers, winter isn’t coming until mid-may, but you have a chance to get your hands on some awesome Game of Thrones materials if you pre-order with a specific set of retailers.
Cyanide Studios’ upcoming RPG “Game of Thrones” is based on the bestselling George R. R. Martin book A Song of Ice and Fire and of course the hit HBO series set to kick off its second season in April. The game will be a “whole new adventure” that “offers alternate play [with] two brand new characters: Allester, the red priest and Mors, the night watchman.” It won’t be an exact recreation of the novel, but a companion piece offering new plots and characters interacting with the ones you know and love.
And if you pre-order the game through GameStop, EB Games, HBO, or Amazon, you will get a limited edition hardcover art book (while supplies last, of course). It will contain concept art and developer notes, and ATLUS (the publisher) thinks that it will excite fans of the book and the show alike.
More details from ATLUS:
…[S]ixty-four full color pages of sketches, renders, photos, and screenshots from the game accompanied by compelling text and commentary from the game’s developers. The book will also include rare behind the scenes materials, like a portrait of the development team signed with a special message from author George R. R. Martin himself. The art book–measuring 8.5″ wide and 11″ tall–is hardbound, meticulously composed, and printed on premium stock, a true labor of love worthy of the series and its fans.

The game is set to launch on console and PC on May 15th. Check out the official trailer below:
