Do you live in one of the fittest cities in the United States? Facebook thinks that they can tell you which cities are up early running, pumping iron, and eating right – based on data collected over the last few months.

Here’s how they did it: Facebook looked at fitness-related mentions and check-ins over the past three months – and they also tracked usage of fitness-related apps.

What they found was this: Virginia Beach, VA – you’re rocking it.

The rest of the top five looks like this: Colorado Springs, CO; Austin, TX; San Antonio, TX; and Livingston, NJ.

It’s important to note that Facebook only considered cities with at least 200,000 Facebook users – so if you live in a smaller town, it may be just as “fit” as anywhere else, but just not big enough to qualify.

As with any sort of beauty or fitness contest, Facebook awarded superlatives. For instance, Chicago was named the “Adventurous City” based on having the most mentions of “starting a new sport” and such. Livingston was named “The Weight Loss City,” thanks to copious mentions of “losing weight” on Facebook.
