Square Enix is set to release a new Final Fantasy-branded game for iOS this week. Final Fantasy: All The Bravest is described by the developer as a “pick-up-and-go RPG with massive battles.”
The touch game brings back the “Active Time Battle” system from older Final Fantasy titles. Players will command huge parties against waves of enemies as they advance through stages. As with most RPG, defeating opponents earns experience, but leveling up in All The Bravest will allow players to add even more members to their party.
The characters, enemies, and music will all be recognizable as ones from previous Final Fantasy games. A jobs system will be in place for characters, which includes classics such as different colored mages, warriors, and monks.
There is also a “Fever” feature outlined in the game’s description:
Once every three hours, the Fever option will appear. Once activated, you will be able to attack without waiting for ATB gauges to refill as long as the chocobo-themed music is playing.
Being a mobile game, the title will also feature leaderboards and “social networking features.” Players will be ranked by different stats and be able to post their achievements to Facebook or Twitter. Unfortunately, the game also grants extra party member slots for spamming the social networks with the announcements. All The Bravest will also have an in-game shop where characters can be purchased, but the purchase only provides a new random character.
