Eva Mendes was busted. Ellen DeGeneres called out the new mother to little Esmerelda for straight-up lying to her back in February — by denying she was pregnant when, in fact, she was.
The actress welcomed her sweet baby girl with Ryan Gosling in mid-September, but it was months before when the talk show host asked Mendes about pregnancy rumors.
On Wednesday’s show, DeGeneres came right out with it. “Congratulations, liar!” she exclaimed.
When Mendes last made an appearance on the show, she blamed the pregnancy “rumors” on her refusal to go through a “creepy” airport security scanner, saying, “They basically see you naked, right? And not only that, but there’s a radiation aspect to it, so I always opt out.”

On Wednesday, Mendes tried to brush away DeGeneres‘ accusations of lying.
“Not really,” Mendes tried to explain the little white lie away, “because I was so early on and all moms will understand you’re not supposed to tell anybody … well, certainly not the world, during your first trimester.
“And my mother didn’t even know yet! So that would’ve been an awkward phone call, you know, like, ‘Hey Mom, did you catch Ellen today?'”
DeGeneres then initiated a little payback by showing a photo of little Esmerelda — a composition of two images of her parents that was a little less than flattering.
“Oh my God. I can’t stop staring. Wow,” said Mendes. “Very exotic.”

Mendes conceded that being a mom is exhausting, but said she loves motherhood none-the-less.
The 40-year-old said she’s taking her time getting back in shape by watching what she eats and enjoying the slimming benefits of breastfeeding.
“I’ve always heard it — it really does actually help shrink your uterus back to size. I know it’s a weird thing to say.”
