At 38, it appears that Eva Longoria is only improving with age, and not just physically, since in the last few years alone, she’s been been producing her own shows, securing multiple acting roles and she even obtained her Master’s Degree from California State University Northridge. So it wasn’t that much of a surprise when she was voted Woman of the Year by Maxim magazine.
Longoria and Maxim have been working together for almost a decade now, and based on her feedback, she seems more than pleased with the Woman of The Year cover. “I’ve had a beautiful relationship with Maxim over all these years,” she said. “When someone sees the cover of this issue, they’re going to say “¡Que rico!.”
In addition, the former “Desperate Housewives” star says she’s not all glam and glitz, and that she has a huge domestic side. “One thing people are usually surprised about when they get to know me is how domestic I am,” she explained. “So when you see the sexy Maxim cover and then you put it against me in an apron with flour in my hair, it takes a moment to reconcile that image.”
The magazine staff chose Longoria for several reasons, they say, but namely because she’s somewhat of a renaissance women and does a number of things very well. “She was the sexiest suburbanite in history on ‘Desperate Housewives,’ ” said the folks at Maxim. “And now she’s a big shot producer, a savvy businesswoman, and our 2014 Woman of the Year. Is there anything Eva Longoria can’t do?”
Apparently, there is something the Texas native can’t do, and that’s put up with false news stories, as she blasted the Latin Post last week for spreading inaccurate information. Initially, it was reported that Longoria would be involved in three different Latin soap operas, but she quickly let her fans know that the story was false. So now you can add newspaper editor to Longoria’s resume too.
