Emma Stone has had a few style changes in recent years, going from red to her natural blonde for The Amazing Spider-Man and then back to red again. Now, she’s showing off a new choppy haircut that’s several inches shorter than the hairstyle she’s been rocking lately, and it’s making headlines.

The actress put in a dazzling appearance at the Venice Film Festival last week with a forest green Valentino ball gown, her auburn hair cut into a short style that accentuates her delicate features. According to MSN, celebrity stylist Mara Roszak did the honors.

Roszak has worked with Stone before and says the star is generally down for whatever she suggests, even when it’s new bangs before a big premiere.

“We both were like, ‘This is gonna be a fresh look, let’s do it!’ I knew they would be a really fun look for her so I just felt like why not have them for a premiere, like an accessory,” she said.

Stone will be making her Broadway debut this fall in Caberet and will appear next in Birdman alongside Michael Keaton.
