Emily Ratajkowski may not be a household name yet, but with the help of Robin Thicke, she’s getting there.
The 21-year old model–who appears in various states of undress in Thicke’s controversial video “Blurred Lines”–has just been cast in the Ben Affleck film “Gone Girl”. The movie will be directed by David Fincher and is produced by Reese Witherspoon, and is based on the best-selling novel by Gillian Flynn. Ratajkowski took to Instagram to announce the new role, saying, “So happy to announce my casting in David Fincher’s ‘Gone Girl’ opposite Ben Affleck!!!”
The young model has been building up her resume with appearances on “iCarly” and “New Girl”, but a role in a Fincher film could do wonders for a burgeoning career. Ratajkowski will play Andie, a beautiful college student who has an affair with Ben Affleck’s character; when police look to him as a suspect in his wife’s disappearance, the affair is revealed, and all credibility is lost.
The film will also star Rosamund Pike, Carrie Coon, Tyler Perry, Kim Dickens, Patrick Fugit and Neil Patrick Harris. Shooting is slated to begin this fall.
