Elsa, Anna, and Olaf from Frozen will dominate Christmas.

Any parent of elementary school-age kids knows the story. There is a certain phrase that you can’t say around the house anymore. It’s not a four-letter word. It’s not anything that has suddenly become politically incorrect. It is a simple three-word sentence that parents used to be able to use with impunity.

“Let it go.”

Ever since the hit animated film Frozen came out, all saying that phrase will get you is a room full of kids singing the chorus, raising your blood pressure.

Elsa and Anna are a hit. Back during Halloween, every little girl was Elsa, and every little boy wanted to be Olaf. As Disney princesses go, Elsa and Anna are a new breed. Almost all Disney princesses have sung. Elsa and Anna were Broadway-quality superstars.

My three-year-old is watching Frozen, dancing with her Elsa doll, WHILE wearing her Elsa nightgown. This is what my life has become.

Reports are now in that Elsa and Anna have replaced the queen Barbie herself as the top doll for girls this Christmas. In fact, the National Retail Federation says 20% of parents will buy some toy from Frozen this holiday season.

The movie has brought in almost $1.3 billion in worldwide box office receipts for Disney, and now their toys wil dominate Christmas.

Good luck finding one of the dolls. There are some Elsa and Anna dolls on Amazon, but that won’t last long. There may even be a few Olaf left.
