Elizabeth Lail, a relative unknown in Hollywood, has been cast as Princess Anna for the Frozen/Once Upon A Time crossover.

The show’s executive producer, Adam Horowitz, tweeted the news this week.

“So excited to welcome Elizabeth Lail as our Anna on #OnceUponATime season 4! #Frozen,” he wrote.

The show has seen quite a bit of success, and an appearance by Queen Elsa at the end of the last season was a nice surprise for fans. Frozen was a breakout hit as soon as it came to theaters and continues to break records with its soundtrack, as well, so a storyline including the film’s characters seemed only natural.

“Frozen’s Elsa made a shocking appearance in Once Upon a Time’s season finale, and since then fans have been clamoring for casting news. While we still don’t know who will play Elsa when Once returns for season four, we can confirm two exciting casting updates,” ABC said in a statement.

While the role of Elsa hasn’t been cast yet, Horowitz said he’s honored to be able to bring the storyline into the show since so many people connected with the Disney version.

“We are honored to be allowed to do it. We loved the movie. We fell in love with it when it came out last year like everyone did, and we want to do our best to do it justice.”

As for the role of Kristoff, Scott Michael Foster has been cast to play the burly ice-breaker. You may have seen him on the hit show Californication.
