Hurley defended her friendship with Grant after her former fiancé, Shane Warne, told his fellow reality stars about his uneasiness over his girlfriend’s relationship with Grant. In an episode of the Australian version of the reality show, I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! Warne revealed how the actor would spend the weekend in their house whenever he left London.

“I mean, we were together for 13 years and yes, we have been apart for 16 years now, so it is definitely longer. But he’s still my best friend and he’s very important to me,” Elizabeth Hurley said.
Hurley continued: “I think families change. I think they used to be much more insular but now friends become as important as some family members sometimes – not your very close family, but you know, distant cousins that you never see. Of course your friends are much more immediate.”
Grant is the godfather to Hurley’s 13-year-old son Damian with movie producer Steve Bing.
Talking about her son Damian, Hurley revealed he loves coming on the set of her TV series The Royals where she plays Queen Helena, the devious queen of a fictitious British royal family. Hurley is certain her son will be in show business, however she is not sure whether Damian would follow in her footsteps and appear in films or just work behind the camera.
